I sure learned a lot! (I found out that when people say that, it means, “I spent an unbelievable amount of time making mistakes”)
And, 20 hours before deadline, I found out that it wouldn’t run on the compo machine and spent a dozen hours rewriting it/fighting with the compiler. I understand that’s something of a demoscene tradition.
