Legalize is perhaps the most controversial figure to participate in the North American Demoscene. He was responsible for organizing the Pilgrimage series of demoparties, yet managed to alienate many people in the process. In particular, he was involved in several flamewars on pouet.net which are largely responsible for animosity between North America and the rest of the European demoscene. At the same time, organizing three successful parties is a non-trivial feat in the geographically dispersed North American demoscene, and many fine demos have found their way into the world as a result.
